I can't believe I did it. I have wanted
a "classic" car forever, but have always been
hestitant
to actually buy one since I don't have a background in mechanics.
That's actually why I made this site several years ago. But I found
that you can read and talk all you want about classic cars but until
you take the plunge and experience owning one, it's just not the
same.
I found myself on AutoTrader.com as I often do, drooling over Early
Broncos. I found a few web sites that were really helpful such as
ClassicBroncos.com and Broncofix.com and found large supportive
communities of Bronco nuts who encouraged me to take the plunge.
I decided to go for it! I bought a 1974 Bronco Sport on the way
to SOB (Son of a Beach), the largest Early Bronco event in the world,
and was pretty overwhelmed by all
the Broncos there - it was unbelievable.
I
have done quite a few little projects (and some not-so-little) to
the Bronco and sometimes have been frustrated but it's always worth
it when I drive around and hear that rumbling exhaust and answer
people's questions about it. Now that I have owned the Bronco for
awhile, I can't wait to go back to SOB next year to see all the
Broncos and the things people have done to them.
Visit my new site Bad Ass
Bronx for more about my Bronco.
